HOW TO SUPPORT A LOCAL BUSINESS WITHOUT SPENDING ANY MONEYFollow them on social media.Following a local business on social media will not only increase their following, but also build them up and give them more recognition. The main purpose of social media for any business is to build relationships with their customers and create an interactive atmosphere to get to know their audience. Following a local business will help them get to know their community, and their community can get to know them as well. Engage with their posts. It makes the most sense to follow a local business on all social platforms so that you can interact with their posts. Though there are times where we (yes we’ve all done it) will follow a local business to show support, but we skim past their posts and not pay them any attention on our feeds. To give local businesses the support they need online, we need to interact with them! Show your local businesses some love. Like their posts, comment on them, even if it’s just a thumbs up emoji. Interaction encourages the owners and employees, it also shows page visitors that their business is well known and loved by their community which can prompt growth for new customers. Tag your friends.Speaking of growth for new customers, tag your friends in local business posts! This will generate more comments and positive recognition. Businesses like to be associated with positivity. When you tag a friend, you’re showing the business that you like what they’re posting about, and also creating a good impression for guests. Write a positive ReviewProbably the most crucial and best way to support a local business is to leave them a positive review. Specifically, a Google review. Google reviews are both free and effective. These reviews are an excellent way to boost business credibility, give the business more online visibility, help the business build a reputable brand, and growing small businesses (they are found quicker through Google searches when paired with a large number of positive reviews). Read and comment on their blog.I get it, you don’t want to read something you aren’t particularly interested in. However, reading and commenting on local business blog posts is another great way to boost search engine optimization for the company. It creates more traffic for their website. Similar to leaving a Google review, blog comments are a free and easy way for the business to gain better online recognition without having to pay for it.

hanks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
