It’s also good to note that this system can be controlled directly through Sonos Voice Control without needing to go through Alexa or Google Assistant. The subwoofer is also extremely likable because of its modernistic design and we’ll never not like a wireless option–  plus, this bass can be doubled with another one for an even better entertainment experience in larger spaces. The speakers are also a great addition and powerful enough to get a cinematic theater experience in any sized room.

What We Don’t Like

The speakers in this sound system aren’t wireless, but that’s more of a personal preference depending on how you’ll be arranging your setup.

Final Thoughts

Overall, both the Sonos and Bose sound systems are great options with minor differences. After comparing the two, we have two verdicts. For a home theater setup (single room), we’d choose the Bose Premium Home Theater Set. This set would work better in a closed off area with a theater like environment in mind. For an entertainment space (living room + dining area, game room etc.) we’d prefer the Sonos Premium Immersive Set. It can be blended into a larger area and would do well with the powerful speakers alongside trueplay technology.

Higher definition is the reason. With better quality pictures, 8K resolution TVs give images a life-likeness. The greater the detail, the better the movie experience. 4k resolution screens are sufficient, but 8K is best.

Television Pixels Make A Difference

The more pixels that can be fit on the screen, the more crisp the image will be. An 8K resolution TV has 7,680 horizontal pixels and 4,320 vertical pixels (“What is 8K, the highest resolution - TV Buying Guide”). While a 4K screen only has about 3,840 horizontal pixels and 2,160 vertical (“What is the difference between 1080p and 4K resolution?”).

To give these numbers more clarity, when the horizontal and vertical pixels are multiplied, 8K has a total pixel count of about 33 million pixels. The un-noticeable, individual pixels are so small that when there are more of them, they offer a clearer viewing. A 4K TV has a little over 8 million pixels total. So, 8K is the clear winner in pixel count.

Don’t Hire An Installation Crew If You Can Utilize These 7 Lighting Installation Directions


  1. Check YouTube for “how to” videos!
    -They’ve got a lot of great examples there. It might take all day and constant rewinds to figure out why your end result isn’t the same as theirs, but don’t give up till you’ve got it right!
  2. Measure and mark the desired areas you’d like to implement lighting
    -Make sure everything is level and complimentary to the room. This includes choosing the correct installation destination. Make sure the lighting will not cast unwanted shadows or distracting glare/harsh brightness.
  3. Start making holes!
    -If you are implementing “in wall” or “in ceiling” lighting, you’ll need to cut out appropriate sized holes that fit and fill with the lighting features you’ve chosen. If your lighting only needs to be wall mounted, check the material of your wall to ensure proper adhesion. Ribbed wall anchors might be needed so screws don’t fall out of the wall and end in broken lights.
  4. Check Wiring
    -If your lighting includes wiring, you may need to run extra wiring through the wall so everything can get connected. When this is finished, be sure to adhere the wiring to the interior of the walls so nothing slips during or after installation. It would be a huge pain to have to rip the wall open again because of a wiring mishap!
  5. Seal It Up!
    -This step is self-explanatory. 
  6. Safety Check
    ​-Make sure that young ones and pets can’t access the wiring or switches as a safety precaution. Check all the lighting and bulbs to make sure they function properly. Keep walls insulated to avoid unwanted damage from insects or pests.
