Responsible for scheduling jobs and service calls. Responsible for coordinating with sub-contractors & submitting, developing change proposals, monitoring jobs & labor costs, purchasing material , job close out.
Responsibilities and Duties
Set up Job Schedule
- Upon the actual award of the project or service call a job Schedule must be developed using input received from the original estimate, subcontractors, and project engineer.
- On contracted jobs, Updates to the job schedule should be made to the overall schedule on a monthly basis and a three week schedule weekly.
Coordinate Submitting
- Develop job submittals on each piece of material and equipment to be utilized on the project.
- Review submittals with job specifications to ensure accordance with specifications. Set up Submittal log to properly track receipt and return of submittals.
Develop Change Proposals
- As required by the project develop, price and submit change proposals to owner for approval.
- Upon acceptance of change orders update schedule of values and job schedule accordingly.
Monitor Job Costs
- Review construction costs on a weekly basis utilizing company weekly cost reports.
- Action should be taken with problems or high unit costs and followed up on until brought down to budget level.
Monitor Labor Costs
- Review labor hours on a weekly basis to determine if hours and production are with budget.
- Meet with Company superintendent to increase or decrease crew size on project to keep project on schedule and within budget.
Job Visits
- Make job visits on a weekly basis to coordinate with project foreman progress and forecast upcoming work.
- Inspect for quality installation of work.
- Work with Project foremen to develop most productive and cost efficient installation of work.
Coordinate with Contractors
- If so utilized on a project, coordinate with the general contractor for proper scope of work and schedule of work.
Purchase Materials
- Work with vendors to obtain lowest available pricing on job materials.
- Verify materials are delivered to project on a timely basis and with in the project schedule.
Job Closeout
- At end of project review job redlines for accuracy and submit to Owner. Review and submit any test results as required.
Required education:
- Bachelor's or equivalent technical certificate.
Required experience:
- Project Management: 2 years
- Service experience: 2 years
